The protocol was updated to take into account the new functionality of "cooldowns". Flynn has posted a write-up about the issue over on the ACDev forums Here for developers to read. This will require changes in some plugins which may break some of them.

The Voice is having some power outage issues currently, and this release is long overdue so I'll be your PR guy for today.  We will probably post more complete release notes later.

Decal Alpha 8 (2.9.6.0)

We don't have a lot to say about this release, since it's mostly a massive series of bug fixes.  We've had a few changes that may break adapter plugins, and a few changes that will allow plugins built against previous versions of adapter to work without being rebuilt.  Your mileage may vary.

We have made a few code-breaking changes to Decal-Core, but these will not affect already-compiled plugins.  These changes all involved functions to "get" other objects.  Previously these were defined as void**, they are now IUnknown**.  A quick test compile will identify all lines of code needed to be changed, and the fix is to simply alter the cast.

Many many crashing bugs have been fixed with this release so you should abandon 2950 (Alpha 7) quickly.

We have also changed the signing certificate for this version.  From now on, Decal will be signed by the Decaldev.com root instead of Insanity-inc.org to resolve the problems accessing that server for the CRL.  Be sure to run the CertInstaller for this new certificate.
